{2011 Custom Wedding Album sample} Ottawa Montreal Wedding Photographers

The second of my 2011 fine art wedding sample albums has arrived! This is from a destination wedding that I had the privilege to capture as their wedding photographer in the Czech Republic this summer. It was an incredible and intimate wedding where friends and family came from all over the globe to attend. The bride and groom were magnetic and shared a very deep love that was evident the whole day.

This sample features, my favorite square spine with an embossed black leather that wraps the album up to a canvas panel cover. There is an option to have a canvas image wrap the entire cover of the album, but I really like the simplicity of this design. The quality and craftsmanship of this flush mount album is truly unique.

What is flush mount fine art album? A flush mount album contains photographic prints in an archival format to create a stiff page that protects your prints as you would an heirloom. There are two different thicknesses -magazine is thinner. Many prefer the thicker pages.

{2011 Custom Wedding Album sample} Ottawa Montreal Wedding Photographers

The first of my 2011 wedding album and guest book samples have finally arrived. It felt like Christmas came early...I stared at the lovely box for about 5 long minutes before slowly unfolded the beautiful packaging to reveal this stunning album. It is a metallic photo emulsion printed on a metal cover with a complimentary bronze leather. The cover image was from a spectacular wedding at the Casino Hilton Lac Leamy during the International Fireworks competition.

{Inspiration-Custom Wedding Invitiations} Ottawa, Montreal, International wedding photographer

Inspiration for your wedding comes from the heart of who you are, both as individuals and as a couple together. Marriage is an adventure and is the beginning of your love story and adventures together. And I have yet to find any two couples alike. For this reason I am deeply inspired by things that truly highlight what is unique about a couple and I love when they take a special approach to express that.
Through inspiring friends (namely my wonderful designer Marilyn) who let me know about illustrator Siobhan Donoghue who creates some of the most enchanting and elegant wedding invitations I have laid eyes on. Really!

Like many of my clients, I am inspired by my world travels to Paris, New York, Australia, Scandinavia, etc. And I have had the oppourtunity to shoot destination weddings in France and Czech Republic, so seeing these lovely invitations truly had me thrilled! Siobhan's wedding invitations are perfect if your are planning a destination wedding and it's an amazing way to personalize your day down to the sweetest little details, especially if your guests are not familiar with the wedding destination site. She has created invitations and save the date cards for destination weddings in Italy, California, Australia and for many other amazing destinations. But you don't need to be visiting a far away land to appreciate how amazing it would be to have a custom illustrated invitation or save the date, even if you are going to be married here in the Nation's capital and have many out of town guests arriving. "We tailor every invitation to highlight your style and work with you to achieve the invitation you dreamed of. Tell us what you like and we can go from there. We love a challenge. Each of our samples can be customized for your event.

How does the process work

The design process generally takes four weeks. This allows enough time to provide you with a mock-up of the final and to create the artwork by hand in watercolour. We can print the final stationery or you can work with a local printer and we will provide a pdf of the finished design.

Prices

Our stock prices start from $5.95 per printed invitation card. Contact us for our fill range of prices. Custom invitation design prices start at $300.00. Printing costs for custom work depends greatly on the desired paper stock, size, quantity and printing style such as letterpress, offset, digital and art inkjet.

Paper

My personal favourite paper is a European handmade paper with deckle edge which adds to the elegance of the watercolour artwork. It is a thick card, 320gsm in cream or ivory with matching envelopes. The thicker the paper the better is my philosophy. We endeavour to use environmentally sustainable paper and inks in all our projects.

Budget

Yes, we do design Save-the-Date announcements, maps, wedding blog headers, menus, programmes, seating cards, RSVP and thank you cards. We can also design rubber stamps, wax seals, tea towels and luggage tags….. contact us with your ideas."

{Miss G- Boudoir Session} Ottawa Montreal Toronto Kingston Boudoir Photographers

Miss G came to me to create a special gift of boutique boudoir photography for her BF who was moving to another city. While they are apart, she has been able to ensure he won't forget one beautiful inch of her. I have a feeling he won"t stay away any longer than is necessary {wink}.

Like many boudoir clients, she was a little self conscious and more than a little nervous, but as many of my clients tell me, they soon feel at ease with me and the camera through some fun conversation. And, typically, all it takes is a peek at the back of my camera of some of the stunning images and they are moving through the session with confidence they didn't know they had- and what could be sexier than confidence?

This is an absolutely beautiful session. Here are some of the lovely images that Miss G has been gracious enough to give permission to share...the rest are for his eyes only!

{Emilie and Martin - Wedding at the Hilton Lac Leamy} Ottawa Wedding Photographers

If you follow my blog regularly you may recall a sneak peek of this wedding. Now for the real thing..

Emilie and Martin were married at a outdoor wedding ceremony at the Mackenzie King Estate followed by a phenomenal wedding reception at the Hilton Lac Leamy. The day was flawless from beginning to end. This beautiful couple stole my heart and the day flew by for everyone ..and I have never laughed so much in my life.

We had the rare oppourtunity to have a private viewing with champagne of Les Grands Feux du Casion du Lac Leamy (also known as the Sound of Light), an international fireworks competition held every summer in August. It was exciting to watch and amazing to shoot. The winds were particularly high and sent Emilie's bouquet right off the bridge...the lighting set-up was blowing everywhere..was seriously like a tornado. I've seen fireworks at a wedding before...but never something like this. Was truly amazing.

Last night we viewed their images together with a bottle of wine (which incidentally they brought along with them {:LOVE:}... I will be designing a very cool metal cover album with the fireworks image (at the bottom). I can't wait for it to arrive...I will absolutely have to share images of that beauty. This will also provide the backdrop for my new ad in the Ottawa Wedding Magazine coming out on December 10th, 2010.
