So it only seemed natural to create an event that helps couples incorporate meaningful, handmade elements into one of the most important and meaningful days of their lives.
An indie wedding movement has started with shows sprouting up in a few select cities across Canada and the U.S. With great enthusiasm and joy, this movement has come to Ottawa with Wed By Hand!
In addition to some wonderful hand crafted pieces, this show also showcased Bridal Bargains show vendors in Ottawa that provide wedding dresses and accessories including White Haute Bridal- Ottawa's only Bridal Consignment Boutique which offer sustainable choices to re-use that beautiful dress when the big day is over. Dresses were made available through donation/consignement in support of Team Diabetes.
Wed By Hand is the creative project of Krista of Urbanite Jewelry and Robin of Digital Glyptics Web Solutions. A wonderful job by Beyond Events and their volunteers!
